Eastin, 42, will serve as the line judge in Thursday’s pre-season game between the San Diego Chargers and the Green Bay Packers. “Knowing that I am a female in a man’s world, I have always probably put the most pressure on myself, understanding that pretty much everything I do is going to be magnified,” she said. “I know what I signed up for.”

Political Animals debuted on USA this week, and if you are interested in powerful women, politics, and Sigourney Weaver, it might be worth your while to watch (the pilot is on Hulu). The plot is based on a not-so-loose story of Bill and Hillary Clinton, if Hillary had told Bill to get lost after her failed presidential bid. The feminist message of the show is certainly not subtle, but it is an hour of intelligent and compelling television with well-rounded and realistically flawed strong female central characters.
